The Department of Accounting and Finance, established in 2019 (Law 4610 / 07.05.2019, Government Gazette No. 4610 / 07.05.2019, Issue 70, Article 13, Par. 1, a ), caters for state- of- the- art education and training in the fields of Accounting and Finance.
The course, comparable to those of foreign universities, and adapted to Greek Higher Education requirements, aims at meeting challenging and highly demanding discipline-specific career prospects.
More specifically, the course caters for:
- cutting-edge education in Accounting and Finance
- training in IT tools to provide students with contemporary trends in Accounting and Finance
- comprehensive knowledge in Applied Accounting and Financial Analysis in both Greek and International topics.
Courses are compulsory and elective. First and second year compulsory courses, such as Marketing, Management, Mathematics – Statistics, Computer Science etc. , provide students with the necessary theoretical background and practical knowledge to better understand the world of business, whereas third and fourth year ones (International Accounting Standards, Administrative Accounting, Cost-Accounting, Financial Management, Financial Econometrics, etc.) offer specialised scientific knowledge in the field.
Accounting and Finance graduates are highly qualified to pursue postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Greece and abroad.
